Research
My current research brings together posthumanists such as Karen Barad, Donna Haraway, Rosi Braidotti, and Bruno Latour, with environmental philosophy and ethics. This research involves devising an environmental ethic based on biocultural diversity and using it to compare the rice worlds of Golden Rice and Carolina Gold Rice, critiquing anthropocentric epistemologies and extending the scope of epistemic injustices to include nonhuman animals, and developing onto-epistemic virtues for creating shared worlds of multi-species flourishing in support of environmental ethics based on gift giving.
